
Arlene Uslander is the author
of 15 non-fiction books. She is an award winning journalist who has had
articles/essays published in many national newspapers and magazines; among
them, Parents, McCalls, Working Mother, Mothering, Highlights, and The Writer. She was twice honored by the Illinois Library
Association for "Contributions to Literature." Uslander, who lives in
California, was an elementary school teacher for 25 years, where she
helped create and taught in a model program that received world-wide
recognition called "The Study of People." Her first published book, Their
Universe: The Way Children Feel, published by Delacorte Press and then
Delta, was about this program. Now retired from teaching, Uslander is a

Brenda Warneka is an award-winning writer and editor and an attorney. She spent most of her professional career in law and business in Arizona. She now works full-time as a writer and an editor. Her most recent project, besides The Mystery of Fate anthology, is the anthology Skirting Traditions: Arizona Women Writers and Editors 1912-2012, scheduled for publication in late 2011. She has a degree in history from Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan, and a law degree from Wayne State University Law School. She now lives in Laughlin, Nevada, with her husband, Dick, where she is active in the River Writers Group.
